from-a-thankful-heart

Dear Alliance Family,

As another calendar year comes to a close, I want to express my sincere thanks for the trust you have placed in Alliance Benefits and in our team. I am particularly thankful for how so many of you welcomed me into this denominational family over these past five years. You see, this particular year-end is a bittersweet time for me personally, as it marks the conclusion of my tenure as the Executive Director. My family is unable to relocate to the new National Office location in Ohio, so I am stepping aside as the Alliance searches for a new leader for Alliance Benefits.

When I took this role in the fall of 2017, I was excited to lead such an exceptional and dynamic team but had no idea what tremendous things we would accomplish together. In just five short years, we have seen incredible participation growth in the Alliance Retirement Plan, an extraordinary turnaround for the Alliance Health Plan from financial despair to healthy reserves, and the launch of numerous new initiatives and programs. For example, we reimagined our telehealth solution in the fall of 2018, not knowing we would be faced with a global pandemic that would force our members to quarantine at home and access medical care remotely. The evidence of God’s kindness to our team and our plans can be found in so many stories just like this one.

I want to take this moment to thank my team publicly – Aaron, Beth, David, Leah, Lori, Mamie, Sarah, and Teresa – for making me a better leader and for their constant pursuit of excellence in everything they do. This team is special, and you should feel blessed to have such wonderful people serving your benefits needs. I also want to thank Ken Baldes, V.P of Operations/Finance, who has been an amazing mentor, coach, and boss during my time here and is bravely picking up the mantle in the interim until a new Executive Director is found. I hope you will join me in praying for the person God is already preparing to step into this role. Great things are ahead for Alliance Benefits, and I’m excited to see what the Lord has planned for this team in the coming years.

Grace and peace,
