When Asked About Your Insurance Company

Your health care coverage and benefits are provided through a self‐funded health plan sponsored and maintained by your employer, through The Alliance. When you file a medical claim, The Alliance pays your claim, rather than some other organization or insurance underwriter. Funds used to pay your medical bills come from the premiums paid to the Alliance Health Plan. Your medical providers submit claims to Meritain, the company we use to process claims.
