Great Commission Day

By Curtis Farmer, Alliance Benefits

Dear Alliance Family,

As we do our very best to support our Alliance workers, both here in the United States and around the world, I want to personally invite you to be a part of something very exciting. Great Commission (GC) Day is a celebration of what God is doing through the worldwide work of The Alliance. The practice of giving sacrificially to build Christ’s Kingdom—in times of abundance and of scarcity—has been an Alliance distinctive from the very beginning. GC Day is an opportunity for the U.S. Alliance family to express its commitment to pushing back the darkness in the remaining unreached parts of our world.

As you watch the video above, I want to encourage you to be thinking and praying about how God is calling you to respond. As Tim so eloquently states in the video, we are seeing a receptiveness to the gospel in places where people were not open to hearing God’s word before. More people are open to the hope of the gospel than any time in recent history. We have an opportunity to impact lives with our generosity during a unique and historic time in our world. And with a generous matching donor, we have a chance for our dollars to have double the impact.

I know that this year has been difficult for many of you reading this message. Finances are tight, stress is on the rise, and it’s easy to get discouraged. But friends, God is up to something big. Remember the lesson of the widow’s mite. No contribution is too small, and it is our sacrificial giving that can make a big impact for His Kingdom.

Grace and peace,
