Intentional: (adj.) Done on purpose. Deliberate.
Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about this word, “intentional.” Particularly, I’ve been thinking about how it relates to this season. How we set aside this time of year with intention to remember the gift of the Christ Child to a broken world – a world in desperate need of a Savior. His arrival was certainly deliberate and with purpose. Mary, Joseph, the shepherds, and the magi… none of them knew that He was born to die for all mankind. But they knew the Savior had arrived and that He was worthy of their worship.
As you ready your home for visiting family, prepare for a busy Christmas Eve service, pack for your flight or long road trip, or finish your last-minute shopping and errand-running, I invite you to be intentional with your time and with your worship. Don’t let the traditions, the events, and the busy calendar distract from Emmanuel – God with us. The King has come and He is worthy of our praise.
A very Merry Christmas from your Alliance Benefits family,
