RetirementThe Christian and Missionary Alliance has provided retirement benefits for workers since 1937. Initially it began as a defined benefit plan called the Fellowship Fund.
Fellowship FundThe Fellowship Fund has the privilege of supporting 499 retirees who have given their lives in service to our Lord. Since the transition of active workers to the 403b Defined Contribution Plan, the Fellowship Fund now has only 6 individuals who will retire in the future. No other individuals may join the Fellowship Fund and all individual contibutions to the Fellowship Fund ceased December 31, 1999.
The Fellowship Fund is funded by contributions from National Office Areas of Ministry, churches, district offices, and supporting organizations, as well as by income on investments. As mandated by General Council, these contributions, .7% of prior year's general fund, will continue until the plan is fully funded.
403(b) Retirement PlanIn 1999, General Council approved the new C&MA Retirement Plan, designed to replace the Fellowship Fund. The defined contribution 403(b) Plan offers workers a self-directed account with employer matching funds. Participants determine the level of their contribution and strategy for investments. Contributions are made monthly.
The 403(b) Retirement Plan is open to any Official Worker of The Christian and Missionary Alliance provided they follow the Plan regulations. CONTACT
