International Workers
Alliance international worker coverage and benefits are provided through a self-funded benefits plan that is sponsored and maintained through The Alliance.
C&MA International Ministries (IM) will inform eligible workers so they may enroll. In order to participate in the Alliance Benefits Plan, workers will be required to complete their enrollment packet and return it to IM within 30 days.
About the Plan
The Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA) developed a self-funded Health Plan in 1980 in order to provide competitive and affordable health plans for its pastors, international workers and employees of supporting C&MA organizations.
Alliance Benefits (formerly The Office of Employee Benefits) became responsible for administration of the plan in January 1998 and in 1999 restructured to incorporate additional professionals to further serve the needs of the ministry. The office operates under the authority of the Benefit Board, established by General Council in 1999.
The Benefit Board governs both the Health and Retirement Plans. Currently, we serve more than 2,100 active and retired employees enrolled in our health and life insurance plans. We also provide retirement benefits to 2,800 active employees and process 500 retired clergy and lay employees’ pension payments through the Fellowship Fund Defined Benefit Plan.
