The C&MA Health Plan is a multi-employer plan which serves hundreds of employers nationwide. As the local employer, you are the first to know when someone begins or ends employment. It is your responsibility to notify Alliance Benefits of time-sensitive information, and to notify employees of the availability of benefits.

 

You may wish to present each eligible employee (20+ hours) with a current C&MA Health Plan enrollment packet. Alliance Benefits will mail packets to you upon request, or you may download the Benefits Summary Guide.

 

What are the Employer’s responsibilities?

  • Learn how to be a Participating Employer and maintain 100% enrollment as specified
  • Inform Alliance Benefits within 30 days when your employee is no longer eligible
  • Watch for annual Open Enrollment mailing announcing next year’s rates and changes. Make any desired changes within deadline
  • Watch Treasurer’s e-mail for monthly statements, plus important announcements to share with employees
  • Inform Alliance Benefits promptly if treasurer contact information changes
  • Allow two weeks to process billing changes
  • Ensure your account has sufficient funds for monthly withdrawals
