Christ Still Is Our Healer

By Beth Knight-Pinneo, Alliance Benefits

Alliance Benefits desires to see all our workers well-cared-for, growing healthy and stronger with each passing year. We long to see every person in good health, well able to fulfill his or her calling, so that together we can complete Christ’s Great Commission.

We recognize that this will never happen through medical help alone. As deeply as we care about having the best medical plan possible to serve our workers, we recognize this is only a part of the answer.

As Alliance workers, we all believe that Christ is still our healer, and we in Alliance Benefits desire to stand with our workers in prayer as together we seek His healing grace in your lives.

As the C&MA website describes in the Beliefs section, “Jesus Our Healer“:

“A great portion of Christ’s earthly ministry was dedicated to healing the sick. We find no record in the gospels of Jesus turning away anyone who came to him for healing, nor do we find that any disease was too difficult for him to heal. He even raised the dead. Miraculous healings continue today—evidence that Christ still is our Healer.

And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up (James 5:15).”

We in Alliance Benefits are acutely aware that so many have experienced ongoing struggles with illness. Our hearts go out to those we speak with on the phones, or hear from via e-mail.

No one person has all the answers, and we all have so much more to learn about Christ our Healer. There is never any condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

But we know that God’s Word is true, and we rejoice whenever we see our health plan participants helped and healed in various ways, whether through divine healing or medical intervention. We rejoice anytime we hear that you are stronger and better able to work in your ministry. We will continue to rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.

Beloved, we pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.
